Prevention
Randomised Controlled Trial

Using data to prevent homelessness

This project will use data on council tax debt, housing benefit, social work data to identify residents at risk of homelessness.

How we are doing it

Where data held about a household suggests at risk of homelessness, the local authority will proactively reach out with a telephone call and offered support in a human-centred way such as by rescheduling debt payments. We expect to have results from the trial in autumn 2025.
